Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine

Lutsk National Technical University participated in the implementation of the project "Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine", which is financed within the framework of the international cooperation program of USAID in Ukraine - Economic development (Program to support the development of a competitive Ukrainian economy).

Development partner is U.S. government through the U.S. Agency for International Development 

The Beneficiaries are the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Apparatus of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine

Implementation period: 18/05/2020 - 17/09/2024 

The purpose of the project is to strengthen the resilience of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure from cyber-attacks by establishing trusted collaboration between key cybersecurity stakeholders in the government, private sector, academia, and civil society.

Project goals arе:
- formation of personnel potential of Ukraine in the field of cyber security; 
- directing efforts to eliminate gaps in the training of specialists in order to develop new talents in the field of cyber security and build the potential of professionals already working in the field of cyber security. 

Expected results: 
-    сyber security lecturers will receive training (advanced training)  in the field of cyber security in accordance with best practices
-    creation of an opportunity for Ukrainian higher education institutions to increase the number of students studying in cyber security educational programs

Ukrainian higher educational institutions will move from traditional pedagogy based on lectures to experimental learning by implementing practical educational (training) programs based on providing students with access to educational laboratories (cyber training grounds).
